The Butman Township Cemetery is located east of F-97 on Cemetery Road.
Many old time residents of the Township are buried there. Most of the old records were
destroyed in a fire when the Cemetery Sexton's house burned down in the early part
of the twentieth century.
The Township passed a cemetery ordinance or set of rules and regulations which are
used to operate the cemetery on a regular basis. A copy of this ordinance can be
viewed at the cemetery and the township hall or hard copies can be obtained under The Freedom of
Information Act.
If you wish to purchase or need information on site availability (resident and non-resident cemetery lot charges) and internment charges, please call, Karon Hoffman at 426-4351 extension 27 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

* A RESIDENT IS DEFINED AS A PROPERTY OWNER WHO HAS FILED A HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION IN BUTMAN TOWNSHIP. LOT OWNERS OR RESIDENTS WHO FILE A HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION ELSEWHERE DO NOT QUALIFY FOR RESIDENT STATUS.
** An additional $125.00 will be added to internment costs if United Water handles internment in the absence of the cemetery sexton.
